I am going to miss Gus on Breaking Bad, but I am so glad Giancarlo Esposito is going to be on Once Upon a Time. What can you tell me about that role? — Brad
ADAM: He plays the Evil Queen's Magic Mirror. But like every character on the show, he has a different role in the non-fairy tale world, where he works as a newspaper editor named Sidney. Unlike his mystical counterpart, Sidney doesn't speak the truth, but rather prints whatever the Evil Queen/Mayor wants him to -- especially when a suspicious fire kills the town sheriff.

@chervil: Anything on Once Upon a tTme please! When will we found out more about Mr. Gold?
We'll learn more about Mr. Gold (the ah-mah-zing Robert Carlyle), and his fairy-tale counterpart Rumpelstiltskin, in episode eight, penned by Jane Espenson! "Some crucial facts about where Rumpel comes from," are revealed in the episode, Espenson tells us. As for whether or not he's truly evil, that remains to be seen. "He's a wild card," she says. "His ulterior motives are still always very complicated."

Question: I was wondering if there was anything you could spoil about my new favorite show, Once Upon a Time? —Wendy
Ausiello: I flunked Fairytale 101 at USC, so do me a solid and help me decipher this new casting breakdown: The show is looking for an actress in her 30s to early 40s to play a sweet, quirky, charming and clumsy fairy named Nova.

When will the curse be broken on Once Upon a Time? — James

NATALIE: Well, first of all, it's not going to be like — poof! — and all of the sudden everyone knows they are beloved fairy tale characters. In fact, they're definitely not going to find out all at the same time. But one person will, and soon. But this knowledge might end up being more of a curse than a blessing. "Even if you do know who you are, that doesn't mean everything immediately comes back to you and you get your happy ending," executive producer Adam Horowitz says. Adds executive producer Edward Kitsis: "In a lot of ways, it might just make it worse."

Any fairy tale worth its weight in pixie dust knows the importance of shocking reveals, so brace yourself for a jaw-dropper when the ABC hit airs its final episode of 2011 on December 11. "It throws the main characters into new situations," teases executive producer Edward Kitsis. "It's going to answer some big questions."

In the new year, we'll learn how Snow White befriended the seven dwarves, and we'll flash back to the mysterious origins of Rumpelstiltskin. On the romance front, the decision by Prince Charming to go back to his wife complicates Snow's journey, while Emma finds herself attracted to "somebody who will be coming into the show in a very mysterious way," says Kitsis. "His agenda will be a huge question mark for the audience."

There will be less ambiguity when it comes to the Evil Queen. "You're going to realize how dark, sick and twisted she really is," Kitsis promises. But what does she want? "In the beginning part of the new year," says executive producer Adam Horowitz, "well delve into what she's planning to do."

Once Upon a Time | Fans of ABC’s fantastical freshman series geeked out more than a little when Emma Caulfield was cast as the Blind Witch from Hansel and Gretel lore. And the show’s bosses share that enthusiasm. “We’ve been huge fans of hers since Buffy, so we’re very excited to have her on the show,” Adam Horowitz told me. Added Edward Kitsis: “We couldn’t think of anyone better to trap two children in a house and try to eat them” than the portrayer of a onetime vengeance demon. Though the EPs were hesitant to share much more about Caufield’s Episode 9 storyline, I’m hearing it will be revealed that the Blind Witch has a none-too-friendly past with the Evil Queen – something having to do with an item that one of the villainesses stole from the other.

Charvi5: Anything on Once Upon a Time please!

There will be fairy tales that branch out of the central European folklore: "I wouldn't be surprised to see fairy tales from other traditions coming in as well," consulting producer Jane Espenson teases. "So keep your eye out for some stuff that's maybe not quite so Swiss looking." In addition to Hansel and Gretel, this certainly opens the doors for Greek mythology, Middle Eastern folktales, perhaps enough material for 50 seasons and two movies? We can only hope.

You're in luck because we actually chatted with the HHS himself Jamie Dornan about his upcoming episode. While he wouldn't reveal who he is in the fairy-tale world, he did say they originally had a different character in mind, "But that didn't end up happening because of rights." He wouldn't tell us who, but when he guessed Robin Hood he said, "You're probably right." Check back with us later in the week to hear more from TV's hottest Sheriff ever! And the answer to your question is yes, his accent is every bit as swoonworthy on the phone as it is on the show.

Darn David/Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and their off-the-charts chemistry! Remember those behind-the-scenes pictures of David and MM kissing? The kiss is definitely one-sided. Sigh, can't they just live happily ever after already?!
