Once Upon a Time Season 1, Episode 14 - Dreamy

Summary: The backstory of Grumpy is revealed. This includes a beautiful woman (Amy Acker) who has a few problems, including an issue with men that has to be worked out, because it is a life and death issue. This woman, Nova/Astrid, will be a love interest for Grumpy/Leroy that will put a smile on his face.

Mary Margaret and Leroy join forces to help nuns sell candles at the Miner's Day festival; Emma investigates the disappearance of David's wife; Grumpy falls in love with a fairy.

Once Upon a Time | Dipping into the reader mailbag, Macario wonders, “Do you know what the plan is (or was) for David Anders’ character on Once Upon a Time?” Well, what I know is that Dr. Whale will resurface in Episode 15 (approximately mid-March), when the show turns its focus to Little Red Riding Hood and, presumably, shiny li’l Ruby as well. But if you’re also wondering if Mary Margaret might return to “playing doctor” if she and David can’t get their predestined act together, rest assured — that “fling” has flung. As a source tells the Inside Line, “The thing about Dr. Whale is he can’t be tied down.” Hmm, is that a Pinocchio reference?

Once Upon a Time | This just in! Sebastian Stan’s heretofore top-secret role on ABC’s Once Upon a Time has been revealed. The onetime Gossip Girl bad boy will be playing the Mad Hatter in an episode set to air this spring.

KSiteTV: Another #OnceUponATime bit we learned this morning: Episode 18 will reveal what Snow White did to tick off the Evil Queen.

But she, along with her fellow townspeople, are virtual prisoners when a bloodthirsty wolf continues on its relentless killing spree, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, MARCH 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

After Emma is forced to arrest Mary Margaret for the murder of David's wife, Mary Margaret hires Mr. Gold as her attorney; Snow White continues to be affected by Rumplestiltskin's potion.

During her search for Mary Margaret, Emma is kidnapped by a mad man with an affinity for hats; the evil queen hires a man of magic.

"Dreamy" - Unlikely allies Mary Margaret and Leroy team together for a good cause to help the Storybrooke nuns sell their candles during the town's Miner's Day festival. But Leroy makes a promise to a nun, Astrid, that he may not be able to keep; and Emma looks into the mysterious disappearance of David's wife, Kathryn. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Grumpy finds forbidden love with beautiful but clumsy fairy Nova, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, MARCH 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

NATALIE: Now that Regina has discovered that Mr. Gold knows the truth about the curse, "their relationship is definitely going to change," executive producer Edward Kitsis says, noting that both their motives will become clear in the coming episodes. Lest we forget, Rumplestiltskin did create the curse that the Evil Queen unleashed. "The question that I would ask is: Why would somebody create a curse that they didn't themselves employ and for what reason? That is a question we're going to answer this year," he says.

Ausiello: And how. Although series co-creators Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz won’t quite come out and say he isn’t as bad a guy as we think, the former does allow that “he’s a complicated man, [and how you view him] depends where you line up with his interests. [It’s always a question of] whether you’re in the way of that agenda or not.” Adds Horowitz: “There’s more to come this season” — in particular, in Episode 19 — “about him and his son and what happened there that may, hopefully, shed a little more light.” And yes, there is some light in him. “A lot of these characters have grey areas,” Kitsis reminds. “There’s some humanity in him.”
