Made: 2002
Genre: Dramedy
Stars: Gail O'Grady, James Eckhouse, Jennifer Morrison
Molly is a struggling widow whose biggest fear is that her daughter, Lily, will follow in her poverty-stricken footsteps. Her solution? To arrange an accidental meeting between Lily and Claude Stevens, an heir to a large fortune. To Molly's excitement, a romance ensues between the two, but Claude's dad doesn't share the same enthusiasm and threatens to cut his son off without a penny. Will love prevail? Watch and see! Based on the novel by Erskine Caldwell.
Attractive widow Molly Bowser (Gail O'Grady) finds herself unable to get a job because of the jealous wives of her potential male employers. Determined to get money in a hurry by any means possible, Molly arranges for her sexy daughter Lily (Jennifer Morrison) to "accidentally" meet wealthy young Claude Stevens (Will Wallace). Unfortunately for Molly, her best-laid plans may all be for naught: Claude's dad has threatened to cut the boy off without a cent if he marries Lily. Filmed in 2002 under the title The Sure Hand of God, this modest comedy-drama didn't receive American play until it was telecast by cable's Lifetime channel on February 18, 2004, under the title Sinners Need Company. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Well, this is certainly a most enjoyable find. Many thanks, Jamie.
How did you come across this gem? Combined with the valuable input from Vitto and Aleki on this title, it makes for fun viewing. I just wish that it was available on DVD from Lifetime, or wherever. Finding some of Jennifer's early projects still available is just about impossible.. -

Question:
I've been looking for this film, but can't find it anywhere.
Me and my sister are fans of Nate Richert (the actor who portrays "Perry")
If anyone has seen it, we were wondering how much screentime does he have and what happens to him in the movie?.
