Fug Girls: Live-Blogging The Golden Globes Red Carpet CITAZIONE6:06 p.m.: Jennifer Morrisson, who is always the first person at these things because frankly otherwise I think we'd forget about her entirely, is wearing a dress that is the color of wet unbleached paper towels -- except also not as ugly as that description sounds. She loses us completely, though, when she tells the world not to drink soda. You will pry the Diet Coke from our cold, dead hands. Our cold, dead, under-a-dry-roof-in-comfortable-clothes-HA-TAKE-THAT-LADY dead hands.
6:16 p.m.: We thought Lisa Edelstein was Anna Kendrick. This might be because she looks very pretty this evening in a cleav-tastic silver halter dress, and she usually looks like she got dressed in the dark. Her curly hair is also holding up nicely in the rain: well done, Lisa.

Best Dressed Stars on the Red Carpet Keep it Real CITAZIONEThe Golden Globes 2010 best dressed on the red carpet won't be determined largely until later on tonight or even sometime tomorrow. However, there are many stars already making their debut on the red carpet and it's worthwhile to look at some of the best dressed thus far.
"House" star Olivia Wilde showed up looking fabulous in a black sparkling gown with a plunging neckline. Her makeup was flawlessly applied and her hair was slicked back in a simple, yet chic pony tail.
Lisa Edelstein is another "House" star that makes my Golden Globes best dressed list. She is wearing an off white gown with a halter neckline and amazing details at the bust. Her hair and makeup also looks flawless.
Ginnifer Goodwin from HBO's Big Love wore a knee length cobalt blue gown. Her pixie haircut is slicked back, and she's carrying a black umbrella. Although the shape of the dress is a little different, Goodwin has the frame to pull it off. It's definitely a one-of-the-kind looks that not everyone can wear with such grace. The color looks perfect with her skin tone as well. Click here to view her photo.
Showtime's "United States of Tara" star Toni Collette showed up in a fabulous beaded gown and her hair was swept back in a loose and flowing do. Her gown is very exquisite, very formal and very much a traditional Golden Globe attire. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she wins an award for her (multiple) roles in "United States of Tara."

Style Therapy - Golden Globes Trends
I admit, it's taken me a couple of days to digest the fashion extravaganza that was the Golden Globes. So many beautifully dressed celebrities, nevermind the award speeches!
As I reviewed the red carpet photos, on Women's Wear Daily I saw that this time around the red carpet trends extended beyond formal wear and reflected some of the major trends we'll be seeing this spring/summer.
1. Nudes - a huge trend for spring/summer 2010, I'm looking forward to all the renditions of this colouration from ivory to blush nude tones, particularly beautiful in flowing or shimmery fabrics will be a key look. My favourites were Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Morrison, and Christina Hendricks.
2. Assymetric Shoulders - another beautiful trend, which has been on-going over the past year, was seen in brights as well as neutrals, shine as well as matte. My faves for this trend were Sigourney Weaver, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Marion Cotillard.
3. Deep Decolletage - Normally we see one, maybe two red carpet wonders who attempt to pull off this trend while looking stately and comfortable. It's particularly daring! This time though, at least 4 starlets sauntered down the step and repeat baring cleavage down to their navels. A veritable trend. It worked on Anna Paquin, Lisa Edelstein, and Olivia Wilde.
