WHO WE ARE:

Prodigal is a science fiction thriller Written by Travis Crim and Benjamin Grayson, who is also Directing. The film is being Produced by Trenton Waterson.

Much of the crew are dedicated, emerging filmmakers who have spent years working as assistants, soaking up wisdom from some of the most respected professionals in the industry. We are close friends who feel such passion about this project that we have gladly pooled our resources to see it come to life. We are:

People like our lead actors Kenneth Branagh, Winter Ave Zoli and our Director of Photography Haris Zambarlukos and so many others! THE PRODIGAL STORY:

Breakthroughs in science have revealed new information about genetic abnormalities existing in a tiny fraction of children ages 9-12. These rare adolescents are regarded by certain entities as Potentials. Interest in these individuals grows exponentially with the hope that within them exists... a true PRODIGAL.

PRODIGAL is the story of a father's redemption and a daughter's love. David O'Neil is an ordinary man who, as a result of poor judgment, now finds himself in extraordinary circumstances. Soon after volunteering his daughter Samantha to a firm specializing in Potentials, he realizes her well-being is the least of their priorities. David enacts a dangerous plan to rescue his only child from the frightening grip of the organization's leader, Mark Snow.

The supernatural, science-fiction elements of our world only serve as the backdrop for a much deeper character study... exploring the nature of ultimate sacrifice.

WHY KICKSTARTER?

While the experience we have gained over the years is invaluable, making a quality production requires money.

We come to Kickstarter with a responsible sense of our financial need, having spent months pairing down expenses to costs that would still enable us to make a production our backers will be proud of.

All money will be used to help with our equipment and locations, as we have discovered shooting in Los Angeles is like trying to thread a needle with a shoe-string!

PRODUCTION DETAILS:

We can't wait to begin filming on PRODIGAL, slated for mid-May in Los Angeles. Post-production will be completed by summer's end and we'll be ready to enter domestic and international film festivals this upcoming fall.
