THE COSTUME INSTITUTE GOES WEST: When the Costume Institute’s Harold Koda and Andrew Bolton go to the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge for a dinner hosted by vintage retailer Cameron Silver and couture customer Susan Casden, there’s a strong certainty that the guests will dress in their finest. In honor of the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” show that Bolton curated, Casden, Silver, “House” actress Jennifer Morrison and painter Kimberly Brooks donned Alexander McQueen at the Wednesday soirée. Perrey Reeves wore a fuchsia Gucci frock while greeting Alice Eve, her new co-star in “Entourage,” who paired a Giorgio Armani jacket with a 12th Street by Cynthia Vincent dress. Crystal Lourd slipped on an Oscar de la Renta caftan while Abigail Spencer from “Cowboys & Aliens” chose a quirky cream-and-black outfit, complete with a bow tie, by Caycee Black. Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy went Cali casual, whereas James Galanos and Peggy Moffitt were the epitome of suited elegance and Sixties Mod fashion, respectively.
